About this product

SXP80 PRO™ external stern thruster 12V — 80kg of thrust (96kg at 12 V), sized by Sleipner for motor boats of 10–15 m (33–49 ft). An external stern thruster that mounts outside the hull — no tunnel to cut — with variable-speed PRO control over S-Link.

What you get, and what to order with it

This is the thruster unit as supplied by Sleipner. You also need an S-Link control panel (a PJC211 or PJC212 joystick, or a Sleipner touch panel), an ANL 400 fuse and holder, and battery cable sized to the run. The matching items are listed under “You may also need” below, and we will check the whole kit against your boat before it ships.

• External mounting — fits outside the hull at the stern, so no tunnel has to be cut

Power and battery

Draws 530A at 10.5 V nominal. Sleipner specify a battery of at least 940 CCA (EN) and an ANL 400 fuse. Size the cable with our battery bank and cable size calculator, and use the thruster size calculator to confirm SXP80 is the right size for your boat.
