About this product

E120 eVision tunnel bow/stern thruster 24V — 120kg of thrust, sized by Sleipner for motor boats, sail boats and commercial vessels of 14–20 m (46–66 ft). A brushless eVision tunnel thruster with variable-speed control over S-Link and continuous run time at full thrust. Fits a 215 mm tunnel and can be installed in the bow or stern.

What you get, and what to order with it

This is the thruster unit as supplied by Sleipner. To complete a new installation you also need a 215 mm tunnel (GRP, aluminium or steel to suit the hull), an S-Link control panel (a PJC211 or PJC212 joystick, or a Sleipner touch panel), an ANL 300 fuse and holder, and battery cable sized to the run. The matching items are listed under “You may also need” below, and we will check the whole kit against your boat before it ships.

• Sealed electrics — IPx7, ignition protected to ISO 8846, for petrol boats and wet installations
• Intelligent Power Control — soft start and minimal delay on direction change to reduce wear, with automatic protection
• Galvanic separation between motor and gear leg to protect against stray-current corrosion
• Thermal protection — the thruster protects itself before the motor can be damaged
• Sealed drive lubrication and ceramic shaft seals — no oil feed to plumb
• Safe start-up — the control panel must be deliberately activated before the thruster will run
• Flexible installation — mounts at any angle on the tunnel

Power and battery

Draws 330A at 21 V nominal. Sleipner specify a battery of at least 561 CCA (EN) and an ANL 300 fuse. Size the cable with our battery bank and cable size calculator, and use the thruster size calculator to confirm E120 is the right size for your boat.
