Spot Zero watermakers and water purifiers for boats in Thailand: seawater to fresh water, dock water to spot-free water, from a wheeled dockside unit to 6,000 gallons a day, with every service part in one place.
Watermakers and water purifiers for boats in Thailand
A watermaker (marine desalinator) turns seawater into fresh water with a reverse-osmosis membrane, so a boat on the Andaman or in the Gulf never has to ration water or go looking for a tap. A water purifier takes fresh water — from the dock or from the watermaker — and polishes it to about 10 ppm, which is the water that dries without spots and tastes like bottled water. Spot Zero makes both, and the XZ II combination puts them in one frame. Drake Marine supplies the whole range in Thailand as a factory-direct purchase with our sizing, our liaison with Fort Lauderdale, commissioning support on the dock or in the shed, warranty registration, and the filters, membranes and service parts on order from Thailand rather than from the other side of the world.
What is in this section
- Mobile water purifiers — the wheeled Spot Zero Mobile Pro (40–85 ft boats) and Mobile Pro Mini (20–45 ft): plug into the marina tap, rinse the boat, walk away. Priced and purchasable online.
- Built-in systems — the ZTC II and SZ III double-pass purifiers (1,000–3,000 GPD), the SeaXchange XTC II and SX III seawater watermakers (600–2,200 GPD), the XZ II watermaker + purifier combination, and Spot Zero’s next-generation Bluelink range up to 6,000 GPD. Quoted per boat.
- Watermaker parts and consumables — 225 genuine Spot Zero service parts: seawater and fresh-water membranes, pre-filter cartridges, membrane cleaner and storage solution, pumps and motors, sensors and displays, valves, fittings and hardware, each with its Spot Zero part number and the previous 2524… number.
Which one does your boat need?
If the problem is water spots on glass, gelcoat and stainless after every wash-down, and the boat lives in a marina, the answer is a purifier — mobile if you move between berths, built-in if you want it at every tap. If the boat goes cruising and tankage is the limit, it is a watermaker. If you want both — fresh water at sea and spot-free water at the dock — it is the combination. Our watermaker sizing calculator turns crew, guests, showers and wash-downs into litres per day and a capacity to look at, and the guide to choosing a watermaker or water purifier for a boat in Thailand covers the trade-offs in plain language.
Thai waters, 50 Hz power
Warm seawater is good news for a watermaker: reverse-osmosis membranes produce more in 29 °C water than in the cold Atlantic they are rated in. The two things we check for every Thai installation are the shore and generator supply — Thailand is 230 V 50 Hz, Spot Zero builds for 50 or 60 Hz and notes that output can be slightly lower at 50 Hz, so we size for it — and the dock water, which in most Thai marinas is hard enough to make the purifier the part of the system owners thank us for.
Prices, lead times and support
Mobile units and parts are listed at Spot Zero’s own US list price; built-in systems are quoted per boat on capacity and configuration. Everything is a special order from the factory: we confirm the lead time and the dispatch date with you before you pay, freight is charged at cost and invoiced separately, and the price you see is the equipment. Questions before you buy — a part number to check, a serial number to match, a boat to size — LINE @drakeco или WhatsApp +66 99 406 4680, in English or Thai.
Frequently asked
How much water does a boat need a day? Enough for the crew and guests, the galley, the showers and the wash-down. The sizing calculator does the sum; most cruising yachts between 40 and 70 ft land between 600 and 1,200 gallons (2,300–4,500 litres) a day of watermaker capacity.
Can a watermaker run on a 12 or 24 V boat? The Spot Zero range runs on single-phase AC (115 or 230 V) or three-phase for the Super Yacht models, so it is fed from the generator, the shore supply or an inverter of adequate size. Tell us the electrical system and we will advise.
Do you install? We size, specify and supply, and support commissioning with your yard or engineer; the plumbing and wiring drawings for every system are on its product page.
What about parts later? Every consumable and service part is in the parts section, searchable by Spot Zero part number or the old 2524… number, and ordered from Thailand with the lead time confirmed before payment.
