A delivery crew that is already in Phuket
Most delivery crews fly into Phuket, find the boat, and leave. We are based an hour up the coast, we keep spares in stock in Thailand, and we know the marinas, the yards and the clearance offices the boat will pass through. That matters most at the two ends of a delivery: the pre-departure inspection of a boat that has been sitting through a wet season, and the handover of a boat that has just arrived from a long passage. On a Phuket delivery, both ends are local to us.

Marinas, yards and anchorages
We collect from and deliver to Ao Po Grand Marina, Royal Phuket Marina, Boat Lagoon, Yacht Haven, Chalong Bay and the yards around Phang Nga Bay and Krabi. If the boat is on a mooring or at anchor, we tender out, inspect, and bring it alongside for fuel and clearance before departure.
Season and weather
Phuket’s sailing season runs November to April under the north-east monsoon: settled weather, light winds and flat water on the Andaman coast. Boats arrive for it in October and November and leave in April and May, so those are the busy delivery months and the ones to book ahead. During the south-west monsoon, May to October, deliveries still run but are planned around weather windows, with more swell on the west coast and squalls in the afternoons.
Formalities
A yacht leaving Thailand clears out through immigration, customs and the Harbour Department; a yacht arriving clears in through the same three offices, and a foreign-flagged boat staying on has temporary-import paperwork to keep in order. We handle the crew’s visas and the boat’s clearances, carry the ship’s papers, and tell the owner before departure exactly what has to be on board. What is included
Two licensed captains who are also licensed engineers; a Designated Person Ashore for the passage; pre-departure inspection and servicing with a spares kit from our own Thai stock; live tracking and a daily report; crew visas, port clearances and customs handled; delivery insurance arranged; and a written report with photographs at handover.
