Specs
Shaft anodes clamp directly onto the propeller shaft to protect the shaft and propeller. Size by shaft diameter — this anode fits 1.25″ shafts. Fit to clean, bright metal (no paint or grease beneath), midway between the stern bearing and propeller, and re-check tightness after the first run. Most owners renew shaft anodes at every annual haul-out.

Inspect anodes at least annually and replace once 50% consumed. Never paint or antifoul an anode — coatings stop it working.
