Measure the teak and get the litres and containers — with the two-coats-a-year programme that keeps decks beautiful through the high season and protected through the green season.
How much Boracol does the job need?
Coverage worked at 3 m² per litre on absorbent timber — measure the areas you're treating and we'll do the arithmetic.
We recommend two coats a year: one just before the high season, so the teak looks its best when you're using her — and one before the green season, so the wet-months growth never gets a grip in the grain.
Your Boracol order
Apply to clean, dry timber by brush, roller or low-pressure spray until the surface is saturated — porous, weathered teak drinks more, so keep a little in reserve. Let it dry fully before oiling or sealing over. The calendar that works out here: coat before the high season so the teak looks its best all the months you're aboard, and coat again before the green season — that's the one that stops the wet-months algae and mould embedding in the grain, which is what turns decks green and soft. Two honest coats a year beats scrubbing grey decks back to death.
