2V Stationary and Solar AGM Batteries

2 V stationary AGM batteries (VRLA) for solar, telecom and UPS banks — 50 to 3000 Ah

A stationary battery is one installed in a fixed place to supply DC power on standby or in daily cycling: telecom DC plants, UPS strings, switchgear and control batteries, and solar or hybrid energy storage. The Fullriver HGXL series is a stationary AGM range of single 2 V cells from 50 Ah to 3000 Ah, sealed, maintenance-free, with a lead-calcium-tin grid and a 20-year design life in float service at 25 °C. Build 12, 24, 48, 110 or 220 V banks from identical cells; we size the string and the charger together, with stock and support in Trang, delivery across Thailand and export worldwide.

220 V 110 245.30–247.50 V 253.00–258.50 V

Bank amp-hours equal cell amp-hours, and nominal kWh is volts × Ah ÷ 1000. Full charging tables, temperature compensation and commissioning checks are in Charging 2 V AGM cells.

Where 2 V stationary cells are used

Off-grid and hybrid solar

Houses, resorts and island properties, farms and pumping stations. One string of large cells sized on the 10-hour rate carries the evening load and cycles gently; solar refills it by day and the generator becomes the reserve. Building a 48 V bank →

Telecom towers and exchanges

−48 V DC plants run 24 cells on float for years and deliver full current the moment the mains drops. Cell-level monitoring, cabinet fit and hybrid BTS sites are covered in the telecom and UPS guide →

UPS and data rooms

The cell count follows the UPS maker’s DC bus; autonomy is sized from the 1-, 3-, 5- and 10-hour ratings. Hospitals, hotels, control rooms and exchanges with a generator behind the battery. Sizing a UPS string →

Resorts, islands and marinas

Why big banks use 2 V cells rather than 12 V blocks

A bank of 2 V cells is one series string: every cell carries the same current, ages at the same rate and can be read, equalised or replaced on its own. Twelve-volt blocks are the right answer for boats, vehicles and small banks (our Fullriver deep-cycle range covers 55 to 260 Ah), but once a bank outgrows one string of blocks the only way to add capacity is parallel strings, which share current unevenly. With cells up to 3000 Ah, a 144 kWh bank at 48 V is still 24 cells in one string. The full argument, with a threshold table →

Supply in Thailand and South-East Asia

Drake Marine has supplied marine and DC electrical systems from Trang since 2002. HGXL cells are genuine Fullriver product, stocked and supported in Trang with the larger sizes supplied to order; we deliver Thailand-wide by road and ferry freight, including Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lanta, Samui and Bangkok, and export worldwide with freight quoted at cost and invoiced separately. Every bank is sized with its charging: KISAE chargers и inverter-chargers with a battery temperature sensor, so float voltage, compensation and acceptance current arrive matched to the string. Часто задаваемые вопросы

What is a stationary battery?

A stationary battery is one installed in a fixed location to supply DC power in standby or cycling duty: telecom DC plants, UPS strings, switchgear and control batteries, and solar or hybrid energy storage. Stationary cells are designed for long float life and are rated at the 10-hour discharge rate. Fullriver’s HGXL series is a stationary AGM (VRLA) range of 2 V cells from 50 to 3000 Ah.

What is a 2 V battery used for?

Building banks of any voltage from identical cells: six cells make 12 V, twelve make 24 V, twenty-four make 48 V, and 55 or 110 make the 110 V and 220 V DC systems used in switchgear and telecom. Because a single 2 V cell is made up to 3000 Ah, large banks stay as one series string instead of parallel strings of 12 V blocks.

How many 2 V cells do I need for 12 V, 24 V and 48 V?

Six, twelve and twenty-four cells in series. Bank capacity equals the capacity of the cell you choose.

How many kWh is a 2 V 1000 Ah battery?

Two kilowatt-hours nominal per cell at the 10-hour rate (2 V × 1000 Ah ÷ 1000). Twenty-four HGXL1000-2 cells make a 48 V, 1000 Ah bank of 48 kWh nominal.

How long do 2 V AGM batteries last?

Fullriver’s design life figure for the HGXL series is 20 years in float service at 25 °C. Service life depends on float voltage, temperature and how deeply the bank is cycled; charging with temperature compensation, a ventilated room and a generously sized bank are what let an installation approach the design figure.

Are 2 V AGM cells maintenance-free?

Yes. HGXL cells are sealed and valve-regulated with the electrolyte held in an absorbent glass mat. There is no free acid, no water to top up and no specific gravity to check, and the cells can be mounted in any orientation.

What charger settings do 2 V AGM cells need?

Float at 2.23–2.25 V per cell and cycle-charge at 2.30–2.35 V per cell at 20–25 °C, with −3 mV per °C per cell temperature compensation and charge current limited to 20 % of the C10 capacity. Multiply the per-cell figures by the cell count for the string setting; the charging guide has the tables.

Do you deliver to Phuket, Bangkok, Samui and outside Thailand?

Yes. We are based in Trang and deliver Thailand-wide by road and ferry freight, including Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lanta, Samui and Bangkok, and we export worldwide with freight quoted at cost and invoiced separately.
