The semi-automatic sibling of the ZTC II: the same double-pass purification and capacities with a backlit LCD instead of the touchscreen. 230 V 50/60 Hz, 5 A. Price on request.
Le Spot Zero SZ III delivers the same double-pass reverse-osmosis purification as the ZTC II — dock water or watermaker output down to about 10 ppm, spot-free washdown and bottled-quality water throughout — with a semi-automatic control system and a backlit LCD in place of the 7-inch touchscreen. For a crew that is happy to press a button and check a reading, it is the lower-cost route to the same water.

Spot Zero notes that production capacity can be affected at 50 Hz: the pump motor turns slightly slower on a 50 Hz supply, so a system installed for Thailand is sized with that in mind. Tell us the daily water need and we will specify the capacity that delivers it on 50 Hz.

Weight is not stated on the published drawings; we confirm it with the factory for the quoted configuration.
From Spot Zero's one-line flow drawing: the dock feed comes in through 3/4 in ID tubing to the pre-filter (Spot Zero P/N 252405133 (twin-housing pre-filter)); the feed from pre-filtration, the feed from the desalinator, the membrane supply and return and the overboard line are 1/2 in OD; the membrane product and the product-to-tank lines are 3/8 in OD. The concentrate discharge runs to an open overboard in a free and unrestricted manner, and Spot Zero recommends a pressure-relief valve set at 8 psi in the feed-from-desalinator line. The ship supplies the dock-water inlet and the run from the bacteriostatic remineraliser (Spot Zero P/N 252404141) to the fresh-water tank.
All of these are listed in our Spot Zero parts section at Spot Zero's US list price, special order from the factory with the lead time confirmed before you pay; tell us the model and serial number and we will confirm the exact membrane size and count for your configuration.
Pre-filtration
Membranes and seals
Product side and controls
Fresh-water membranes sit in vessels closed with retaining plates (two M6 × 1.0 × 10 bolts, 5 mm Allen key) and are changed from the inlet end; the brine seal goes in last and is lubricated with a food-grade compound (Spot Zero recommends Molykote 111). Seawater membranes on the XTC II / XZ II side use 3/8 in quick-connect fittings on the end caps and three end-cap O-rings, which are replaced at every membrane change. New membranes ship in preservative and are flushed for at least 30 minutes with the product and concentrate discarded before the water is used.
If the boat is laid up, Spot Zero asks for the system to be run and flushed for five minutes once a month; if that is not possible, the membranes are preserved with Spot Zero's membrane storage chemical (one bottle per 5 US gallons / 18.9 L of purifier water, circulated with a chemical pump at no more than 30 psi and below 44 °C, renewed every three months). Recommissioning is a new pre-filter and a 30-minute flush to waste. The full procedure, with the freezing-climate version using propylene glycol, is in the membrane guide linked below.
Spot Zero publishes the drawings and manuals openly; these are the current versions we work from:
Spot Zero's US list price starts at US$10,400 for the SZ III. We quote per boat on capacity and configuration; freight to Thailand at cost, invoiced separately.
Spot Zero's standard limited warranty on built-in systems is 12 months or 1,000 hours, parts and labour (membranes, filters, seals and other consumables excluded). Spot Zero's extended warranties — Gold (+1 year/1,000 h, parts), Platinum (+2 years/2,000 h, parts) and Diamond (+2 years/2,000 h, parts and labour) — can be added at any time during the standard term; ask us for the current prices. Warranty cover applies in whichever country the fault occurs.
Drake Marine supplies Spot Zero as a factory-direct purchase with our support around it: we size the system to the hull and its tankage, specify the 50 Hz configuration for boats staying in the region, handle the technical questions with Fort Lauderdale, support commissioning on the dock or in the shed, register the warranty, and keep the filters, membranes and service parts on order from Thailand rather than on a ship from Florida each time. Freight is at cost and invoiced separately, so the price you see is the equipment.
Tell us the boat, the tankage and where she will be kept and we will size the system, confirm the 50 Hz configuration for Thailand and quote the equipment with the factory lead time: LINE @drakeco, WhatsApp +66 99 406 4680 ou e-mail.
