ฟิล์มยืดหด Dr. Shrink ขนาด 24' × 163' สีขาว ความหนา 10 มิล

At a glance

Which film do I need?

9 to 12 mil (250–300 micron) is the heavy gauge for transport wraps, refit containment and industrial work. White is the colour our guide recommends for the tropics: it reflects heat and keeps the boat cooler under the cover.

What it fits. Width is the dimension that goes over the boat. Run a soft tape from the perimeter band on one side, over the highest and widest point, to the band on the other side, and add 600–900 mm for the hem: this 24 ft (7.3 m) roll covers an over-the-top measurement up to about 6.4 m. The standard sizing chart pairs 24 ft film with beams up to about 2.7 m (9 ft); sailing boats, flybridges and arches push you up a size or two. Between two widths, take the wider roll. Roll length should cover length overall plus about 20%, so 163 ft (49.7 m) is enough for about 41 m of boat in total.

Size it before you order: our เครื่องคำนวณฟิล์มหด turns length, beam and height into film width, mil, tape, strapping and vents. Read how to shrink wrap a boat in the tropics และ Dr. Shrink in Thailand guide.

What else you need

• Preservation tape to seal seams, vents and doors
• Woven strapping and buckles for the belt and support lines
• Vents so moisture escapes under the cover, and a zipper door if you need to get aboard
• A heat tool; doing one boat? The ชุดห่อฟิล์มหดแบบครบชุด may cover you in one box
