Boracol 5Rh is the teak deck treatment that cleans without acid and without scrubbing.<\/strong> It is the clear, water-based surface biocide and wood preservative that Northern European yards and owners use on teak decks: one application kills the algae, mould, lichen and black-spot mould that a wet season leaves in the grain, and the boron it carries into the timber protects against wood-rotting fungi and woodworm. A teak deck cleaner that works without acid<\/h2>\n

Most teak cleaners work on the surface: an acid or caustic wash lifts the grey and the stains, and a stiff brush takes the dirt away \u2014 along with a little of the soft grain each time. Boracol works differently. It is a biocide, so it kills the growth itself, including the black-spot mould whose roots sit inside the grain where a brush cannot reach. The dead growth weathers away over the following days and weeks, and the boron stays in the timber to keep it protected. Nothing is scrubbed off, so the deck keeps its thickness and its caulking.<\/p>\n
