Sterndrive legs are aluminium castings living permanently in the water next to stainless props — the most galvanically vulnerable metal on your boat. This MG Duff anode is made specifically for the Volvo Penta null and fits its machined anode locations. Check drive anodes at every service and renew at 50% wasted; never paint them.

MG Duff has been the UK’s leading name in marine cathodic protection since 1956, casting anodes at its own Chichester foundry with every melt batch-tested for alloy composition. Their zinc alloy meets US military specification MIL-A-18001K.
Inspect anodes at least annually and replace once 50% consumed. Never paint or antifoul an anode — coatings stop it working. Correct electrical bonding is essential; ask us if you are unsure about your bonding circuit.
