About this product
A complete MG Duff aluminium sacrificial anode kit containing every anode needed for one full service of a MerCruiser Bravo Two and Bravo Three sterndrive. The anodes corrode in place of your drive — replace them once half consumed and the leg castings, trim rams, bearing carrier and gimbal housing stay protected.

MG Duff has been the UK’s leading name in marine cathodic protection since 1956, casting anodes at its own Chichester foundry with every melt batch-tested for alloy composition.
Inspect anodes at least annually and replace once 50% consumed. Never paint or antifoul an anode — coatings stop it working. Aluminium anodes suit salt and brackish water; do not use them in fresh water. Zinc or aluminium, and how many?
Zinc for clean salt water; aluminium where the boat sits in brackish estuary marinas or moves between fresh and salt, because zinc can go passive there. Replace anodes when about half is gone, and replace them as a set.
Questions
Can I mix zinc and aluminium on one boat?
Keep one alloy across the bonded system so every anode wastes at the same rate; mixing is for separate, unbonded fittings only. Ask us if you are unsure.
