About this product
PowerGuard Lite is the simplest way to make sure a battery never gets drained to the point where the engine will not start. The control unit watches battery voltage; when it has stayed below the preset level for the preset time, the contactor opens and disconnects the loads, keeping a reserve for engine starting. A dash-mounted press switch reconnects everything once you are ready. It is the entry point to Merlin's flat battery protection range and is fitted to thousands of workboats, patrol craft, ambulances and utility vehicles.
The kit comprises an IP66 contactor rated 125 A continuous (mounted next to the battery), a compact CPU with trim-pot adjustment for the disconnect voltage and delay (mounted inside the cabin or console), and the dash reset switch. An OEM version supplies the CPU alone for builders who integrate their own contactor and switchgear.
