Rule-of-thumb sizing for tropical Southeast Asia, using the marine standard of BTU per cubic foot with sun and occupancy factors. Under-sized units run flat out and never pull humidity; slightly over-sized is the right side to err on out here. Self-contained seawater-cooled units are the usual fit up to ~45 ft; bigger boats and multi-cabin builds move to air handlers or chilled water — we spec both.
