Zinc or aluminium, and how many?

Zinc for clean salt water; aluminium where the boat sits in brackish estuary marinas or moves between fresh and salt, because zinc can go passive there. The sélecteur d'anode de bateau gives you a pattern and quantity for your boat in about a minute, and the guide zinc vs aluminium anodes in Thai waters explains why. Replace anodes when about half is gone, and replace them as a set.

Questions

Can I mix zinc and aluminium on one boat?

Keep one alloy across the bonded system so every anode wastes at the same rate; mixing is for separate, unbonded fittings only. Ask us if you are unsure.

Is it in stock?

Yes, in stock in Thailand and dispatched within 1–2 working days.

Returns and warranty

Unused anodes can be returned within 30 days; full details on the returns page. Genuine MG Duff, batch-tested at the foundry.
